Dunnington Parish Council

Letter to Residents Re: H31 Eastfield Lane

The Eastfield Lane site earmarked for development.

Dear Dunnington Resident,

H31 EASTFIELD LANE, DUNNINGTON

PLANNING APPLICATION 20/01626/FULM

I am sure that you are aware of the above planning application. A link to the planning application held on the CoYC planning portal can be found on the Planning page on the Parish Council website.

At an Extraordinary Meeting of the Parish Council on Wednesday 30 September 2020 the following four motions were unanimously agreed:

One

That the planning application will be opposed by the Parish Council.

Two

That an application for a months extension of time from 28 October 2020 for the Parish Council will be made to CoYC.

Three

That the services of the current planning consultant to the Parish Council will be engaged and that the costs will be agreed at the next Parish Council meeting on 12 October 2020.

Four

That the residents directly affected by the planning application on Eastfield Lane, Holly Tree Croft and Kerver Lane will be canvased by the Parish Council for their views.

Under normal circumstances, as this application will have a significant impact on the green belt and also the community, the Parish Council would have held a public meeting to discuss the matter but I am sure you will appreciate that this is not possible at this difficult time. It was therefore agreed, rather than just doing nothing, that we would at least contact those directly affected by the development proposal.

If anyone in the Parish wishes to comment on the application to the Parish Council they can do so via the contact page on the Parish Council website or by writing to the Parish Clerk, Julie Bone, at 43 St James Close, Rawcliffe, York, YO30 5WL (01904 672199).

All comments received will be considered when the Parish Council is preparing its own response to the application.

Please note that the closing date for submitting responses to the application is 27 October 2020 and that if the Parish Council is successful in obtaining an extension of time from CoYC this will only apply to the Parish Council.

Do not however just rely on submitting your comments to the Parish Council as these will be included in one response to the application in the name of the Parish Council only. If you feel strongly enough about the application then you need to do so yourself direct to CoYC by 27 October 2020.

If you would like to discuss the matter with the Parish Council please contact the Parish Clerk, by one of the above previously mentioned means.

Yours faithfully

Andrew Dykes

Chairman Planning Group
