Dunnington Parish Council

A New Year's message

Dunnington Parish Council would like to thank all those volunteers that give up their time throughout the year.

The Dunnington In Bloom team that keep the village looking beautiful, clean and tidy. The Dunnington Conservation Group who look after Hassacarr Nature Reserve and the volunteers who have been planting trees in the cemetery.

Our thanks also go to those volunteers that run the various groups and facilities for the benefit of the village. The Reading Room Committee, the Dunnington Playing Fields Association, the Scouts and Guides, the WI, the list goes on. All these people make the village the diverse and vibrant place that it is.

I would personally like to thank my fellow Parish Councillors who also give up their time and work tirelessly behind the scenes for the good of the village.

It has been a heartbreaking, frustrating, fearful and lonely year for some, the likes of which we have not experienced before. Whilst there are still likely to be challenging times in 2021 if we all look out for each other we will get through it.

So on behalf of Dunnington Parish Council I would like to wish you all a happy and healthy 2021.

Gill Shaw

Chairman, Dunnington Parish Council
