Oak Trees on the Greens

Chairman Gill Shaw planting one of the new oak trees.

Residents will be aware that three native oak trees were planted recently, one on each of the village greens to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Despite keeping the surrounding area clear of weeds and watering them, they have not taken well and will be removed this week. Three replacement oaks will be planted in the autumn and will hopefully settle in over the autumn and winter period to produce healthy looking trees in the spring.
