King's Coronation Village Street Party Roundup
Dunnington Parish Council would like to thank all those who helped us in making the King's Coronation Village Street Party a resounding success.
In particular, we'd like to a big thank you... to In Bloom, who worked tirelessly during the day picking up the litter... to the Reading Room for decorating the main hall with lots of bunting... to the WI who made those fantastic scones and poured endless cups of tea... to the Dunnington Community Choir and to Dunnington's own jazz band, "Chameleo", who have received so many compliments... to the judges of the three competitions (cake, children's paintings, and dog show)... to the Balloon Tree and Costcutter for their sponsorship... to Suzi Malik of Blank Canvas Art Group for donating the prizes for the Children's Painting Competition and to Anne Abbiss for the Fun Dog Show trophy and certificates... to the library for providing a drop off and pick up point for the children's paintings and cake recipe... to Mike Gray and Chris Rees-Gay for making and putting up the flag poles and taking them down - the flags looked great and really added to the festive atmosphere.
Thank you to all those who attended the event, and finally to the Sun for making it a perfect day. ☀️
